  1. New Sermon Series

We are starting a new sermon series as of April 19. We are calling this series Stories from a Roadtrip with Jesus. We are continuing our focus on what it means to step out in faith as followers of Jesus, both as individuals as well as a community of faith. This particular series will take us through what is sometimes referred to as the Travel Narrative in the Gospel of Luke ˉ Luke 9:51 to 19:27. We will be looking in particular at the stories (parables) Jesus told that Luke has recorded in this section to find out how they can apply in a practical way to our lives today

  1. 6/29-7/6 Casa de Luz STM Trip

Please be in prayer for our team as we prepare for both children and youth ministry at Casa de Luz. Also pray for the trip down and back to be uneventful as we cross two borders going each way. We are excited to have families going with us this time and hope their experience will be a catalyst for other families to go on the same adventure together. When you go together as a family it becomes a shared experience that multiplies in the spiritual benefit from it.

  1. Outreach Opportunity

As part of our focus on outreach to our community we partner with CityReach Care Society. CityReach serves over 60 schools in the Greater Vancouver Area through food support, seasonal events, and other essential resources to see students, schools, and communities thrive. They work with each school’s needs and offer creative solutions that make the most impact. The current project includes collecting items for our Hygiene Kits for preteens. Among the top items that are needed are men’s and women’s deodorant, soap, shampoo (medium size bottles), combs, hair ties, and socks.  Donations can be dropped off in the container by the entrance to the gym or outside of Pastor Don’s office. Donations will be collected up to and including Sunday, April 26
