• Isaac Tak Hong Man has been invited to serve in the role of ministry director for HK newcomers, with a minimum weekly commitment of 10 hours and the option of flexible and condensed working hours. The starting date is to be negotiated.
• With regret, Pastor Miller’s intention not to renew his contract after August 2023 has been accepted because of his plans for future involvement in mission work.
• A Mandarin pastoral search committee comprising Oliver Chan, Bernice Fung, and Ade Huen has been appointed to report to the deacon board under the leadership of Pastor David. The committee will focus on the details pertaining to the appointment of a part-time pastor for the Mandarin congregation, with a minimum average of 22 hours per week.

6. Excerpts from DB Meeting on May 13, 2023:

• The Sunday Morning Breakfast Project draws in over 100 people, leading to a rise in the numbers of people attending Cantonese Sunday school and English Worship Services. Thanks to all the brothers and sisters who prepare and serve the breakfast.
• We invite brothers and sisters to donate to the Food Banks during the breakfast at our church to assist people in need.
• To bring the message of Jesus to those who have not yet accepted Him as their Saviour, a part-time, contracted pastoral position will be created in response to the surge of Hong Kong residents. This position will strategize, coordinate, and lead outreach programs.
• A Community Day will be planned for July 29, Saturday, as a joint function with CCM. A committee will be formed to coordinate this event.
• In order to become a member of PGMBC, an individual must accept the Mennonite Brethren Confession of Faith.

4.  Excerpts from DB Meeting on Apr 8, 2023:
   1. A part-time local specific evangelism role is currently available, requiring no less than 10 hours of work per week to coordinate and train for outreach efforts to new immigrants from Hong Kong.
   2. The preliminary rental policy of the church for 2023 was adopted. Some special cases still require further clarification.
   3. A church renovation committee will be organized under the general business manager to decide which renovating projects should be done for different departments in an efficient and strategic way.
   4. The department chairperson, with the staff’s consultation and the deacon board’s endorsement, must approve of the lending of the church’s equipment and utensils for ministry purpose.
   5. In the 2023 budget, an additional $500 has been set aside for the hospitality and caring of the Mandarin congregation, and $1800 is budgeted for nine breakfasts beginning April 16th to promote more participation in Cantonese Sunday School, Mandarin worship and English worship and intergenerational and inter congregational fellowship.
   6. Suggestions were made for new members of different Staff Review Groups for pastoral and administrative staff to gather in June for staff evaluation.
   7. The bylaws committee will design a plan to be presented in the 2023 Annual General Meeting for adjustments to adhere to the Societies Amendment Act of the government and the church’s privacy regulations.
